Desy acquired the first tune from his friend and fabulous flute player, Tara Diamond, in Belfast sessions from the late 1980s. Fraher’s jig was a popular piping tune in Belfast in the late 1990’s. Desy plays these two jigs on a flute tuned to the key of F made by Belgian flute maker, Geert Lejeune.

Class playing by everyone, it's hard to find trad music that's so well arranged without sounding 'too new.' I'd put this album up with any of the old classics.
Also, as a bouzouki player, it's nice to hear the instrument so high in the mix, especially when it's played so skillfully. zefferoni

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
