Ruadhrai composed the first reel for his eldest son Aibhne when living in Madison Avenue, just off the Cavehill Road in North Belfast. We were reminded of the second tune while on Rathlin Island a few years ago on a special summer’s night spent playing music and having craic until the next morning! The tune was composed by Dublin uilleann piper Peter Brown. ‘I Have No Money’ is a great old tune Ruadhrai recalls from sessions in Madden’s Bar, Belfast with uilleann pipers Cormac ‘Buzz’ O’Brien, Steve Porter, and banjo player Aiden Walsh.

Class playing by everyone, it's hard to find trad music that's so well arranged without sounding 'too new.' I'd put this album up with any of the old classics.
Also, as a bouzouki player, it's nice to hear the instrument so high in the mix, especially when it's played so skillfully. zefferoni

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
