Ruadhrai learned ‘The Fisher’s Rant’ from Tommy Peoples’ ‘50 Irish Fiddle Tunes’ cassette and tutor book in the late 1980s; an inspirational recording for a young fiddle player! This setting of ‘Seán Sa Cheo’ comes from County Galway accordion player Edel Ní Churraoin. ‘Courting Them All’ was sourced by Ruadhrai and Ryan from a great recording called ‘The Maple Leaf: Irish Traditional Music from Boston’ featuring our friend Jimmy Noonan with Michael Shorrock, Chris McGrath & Ted Davis.

Class playing by everyone, it's hard to find trad music that's so well arranged without sounding 'too new.' I'd put this album up with any of the old classics.
Also, as a bouzouki player, it's nice to hear the instrument so high in the mix, especially when it's played so skillfully. zefferoni

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
